The Jean Vollum Natural Capital Center - Ecotrust
721 NW 9th Avenue
Portland, Oregon 97209
The Natural Capital Center, a former warehouse in Portland’s Pearl District, was rebuilt to create a marketplace where innovative ideas for a conservation economy could take hold and flourish. Renovated using green building techniques, it reopened in September 2001, becoming the first historic restoration in the nation to receive the gold-level LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
Enjoy a sunlit terrace during your brakes and lunch located on the third floor of the building, the Terrace provides stunning views of the surrounding Pearl District, an outdoor fireplace and tantalizing peeks of the eco-roof.
Ecotrust’s Jean Vollum Natural Capital Center is centrally located in Portland's Pearl district between avenues NW 9th and 10th, and streets NW Irving and Johnson. In addition to being a stop on the Portland Streetcar line, the Center is easily accessed by bus, bicycle, car, and passenger train.
