From San Francisco
Take the Bay Bridge (I-80) to the East Bay and follow signs to I-580 East. Follow I-580 to I-980 Downtown Oakland and take the llth/12th Street exit. Turn right on 11th . Go several blocks on 11th to Broadway, turn right. Go 1 block and turn right again onto 10th Street. Go 1 block to The Washington Inn.

From Hayward, South Bay, San Jose and Palo Alto
Travel north on I-880 to the Broadway exit (Downtown Oakland). Turn right onto Broadway. Go about 4 blocks. Turn left on 10th Street. Go 1 block to The Washington Inn.

From Oakland Airport
When leaving the airport, follow the signs to Hegenberger Road to I-880 North. Travel north on I-880 to the Broadway exit (Downtown Oakland). Turn right onto Broadway. Go about 4 blocks. Turn left on 10th Street. Go 1 block to The Washington Inn.

From North Berkeley and I-80
Take I-80 West to I-580 and follow signs to I-980 (Downtown Oakland). Take the 11th/12th Street exit.Turn left on 11th. Go several blocks on 11th to Broadway, turn right. Go 1 block and turn right again onto 10th Street. Go 1 block to The Washington Inn.

From Contra Costa County
Take Hwy. 24 West to I-580 and follow signs to I-980 (Downtown Oakland). Take the 11th/12th Street exit. Turn left on 11th. Go several blocks on 11th to Broadway, turn right. Go 1 block and turn right again onto 10th Street. Go 1 block to The Washington Inn.

Parking

The Oakland Convention Center parking lot is across the street from The Washington Inn. Entrance from corner of Clay and 11th Street. Maximum daily fee is $15.00.

The City Center parking garage is 1 block away from The Washington Inn. Entrance is on 11th Street, between Clay and Broadway. Daily fee approximately $15.00.

The City Center West Garage is located a few blocks away at near Oakland's distinctive Federal Buildings. The City Center Garage is accessible from 12th Street and 14th Streets. All day rate is $12.00 if in before 9:30 am. For parking information call: (510) 273-8352 or (925) 631-4535.

There are a number of small street-level pay parking lots near the Oakland Convention Center and in the Old Oakland shopping area, ranging in price.

Street parking in the area is largely limited to 2 hour meters. However, some all day spots can be found a few blocks west of The Washington Inn, on 10th Street, Jefferson Street, and Martin Luther King Way (near Lafayette Square Park).

Via BART or Bus

The Washington Inn is two blocks from Oakland's City Center Bart Station (12th Street and Broadway). BART trains bound for Richmond and Pittsburgh/Bay Point serve this station.
