Christopher Whitehead

Christopher Whitehead comes to NWETC with a broad range of experience gained over 10 years in the environmental health and safety field in service to private, state, federal, military, local, and NGOs throughout the United States.  Mr. Whitehead currently works in the field of environmental data quality assurance.  He is committed to environmental protection and in ensuring projects are designed and implemented placing quality and justice at their foundation.

Mr. Whitehead has experience in every phase of the site investigation process including site discovery and screening, assessment, characterization, waste removal, site remediation, and closure.  He has performed sampling and analysis of environmental media for a broad range of hazardous substances and constituents including radiological materials and wastes.  Additionally, Mr. Whitehead has worked in emergency management and disaster response in multi-agency teams throughout the US.

Specifically, Mr. Whitehead has worked on environmental projects associated with the Hurricane Katrina Emergency Response for USEPA Region IV, Hurricane Katrina long-term recovery operations in the USACE New Orleans district; on-going Savannah River Site characterization and remediation investigations; federal closure of the Santa Susanna Field Laboratory site; and the Oso Landslide Search and Recovery operation.
