Keivan Zokaei

Keivan is the winner of 2014 the prestigious Shingo Research and Professional Publication Award. Before establishing Enterprize Excellence, he was a partner at S A Partners. Before that, he was a director at the Lean Enterprise Research Centre (LERC) which was a birthplace of ‘lean management’ and part of Cardiff University.
 
He has worked at the cutting edge of lean thinking, for many years specialising in operations management, supply chain optimisation and lean & green. He regularly works with senior executives at blue chip corporations as well as senior decision makers in government. While at LERC, he advised the Auditor General of Wales on ways to manage costs and improve public services. He has also published a number of reports commissioned by various European governments or industry bodies. Moreover, Keivan has led transformation projects in Manufacturing, Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and service industries working with organisations such as ASSA ABLOY, Wartsila, GKN, Unilever, Royal Bank of Scotland, WalMart, Scottish Government, Welsh Assembly Government, Tesco, Marks and Spencer, Kraft, MARS, Sainsbury’s, Nutreco, ARLA, and Ernest and Young. At the same time, he is a visiting honorary professor at University Politecnica Madrid in the field of lean and green.
 
Keivan is a regular speaker or keynote speaker at international conferences and engages with business executives through public media. He has been interviewed by media such as BBC, Financial Times, Globe & Mail and several more. His latest book, co-authored with management guru Hunter Lovins, is titled “Creating a lean and green business system: techniques for improving profits and sustainability”. The key premise of the book is that true lean thinking extends beyond simple operational improvements. The book is the result of several years of consultancy and research, showcasing companies such as Toyota, Tesco, MAS, Marks and Spencer and Adnams.
